about  me

I am an actor, dancer and movement specialist.

I am gender fluid, (not gender neutral.) I am happiest when I get to play diverse characters across the gender spectrum. I use they/them pronouns.

[THIS NEEDS TO BE UPDATED. I WILL GET TO IT SOON.]

I am a multiple-character actor and physical comedian. In reviews of a recent show (Shake and Bake: Love's Labours Lost, NY), TheatreMania said: "Margron is so versatile and transformative that I went through most of the play thinking that two different actors played these roles," Front Row Center said: "I must mention and highlight the clowning antics of the character Costard (performed by the Cheetos snorting Rami Margron)... brought peals of laughter to the whole audience," and an audience member once called me the love child of Anna Deavere Smith and Harpo Marx.

I have been a resident artist
 with the following theater companies:
Crowded Fire Theater, S.F. theater company focused on developing and producing fierce new plays
Mugwumpin, devised physical-theater company
Woman's Will,  all-female Shakespeare company
The Original Action Pack,  improv comedy troupe

Theater training:
I completed the 3-year training in the Stanislavski System and Shakespeare at the Bennett Theatre Lab in San Francisco. I have studied circus, improv and various forms of physical theater, including Clown, Buffon, Commedia, Stage combat, Suzuki and Viewpoints, in the US and abroad. I don't have any fancy degrees, but I have decades of training and experience.

Dance is joy.
I have trained in roughly twenty styles of dance.
I was a founding member Reconnect, an African-diaspora dance theater company, and I have danced with the Haitian companies Rara Tou Limen and Group Petit La Croix, and the neo-folklore dance-theater companies Deep Waters Dance Theater and Ase Dance Theater.
I often work as a choreographer and movement director.

I have a fun and funky seated workout series on YouTube called Sit and Groove. Check it out!

I have written 4 short children's plays.

I play the concertina (squeeze-box) and the zils (Middle-Eastern finger cymbals.)

I co-hosted The SHOUT, a monthly storytelling event in Oakland until I moved away.

My ideas about creativity, humanity and social justice were formed growing up at a very special circus camp.
